Thursday Evening – Welcome to Lynchburg
5:00 PM
Arrive and Unwind at The Skyline Grill

Kick off your race weekend with dinner and a relaxing cocktail and a view. Head to the Tori Blue at Bella Vista Hotel & Suites to sip a handcrafted drink and menu.

6:30 PM
Brewery Hop

If beer’s more your style, stroll over to Starr Hill on Main or Three Roads Brewing for a locally inspired brew. Both spots are downtown favorites and perfect for mingling with other runners.

Friday – Family Fun and Warm-Ups
Morning
Light Breakfast & Gear Check

Fuel up with a nutritious breakfast at Millie’s Living Café, known for organic and plant-forward dishes. Stop next door at Health Nut Nutrition to grab trail snacks or hydration mixes for race day.

Late Morning
Stretch Your Legs on the Trails

Loosen up with a scenic jog or walk along the Blackwater Creek Trail System. If you prefer a challenge, explore the Liberty Mountain Trail System for over 50 miles of earthen paths and rolling climbs.

Afternoon
Family Festival at Amazement Square

Before the Amazing Mile Kids Run, visit the Family Festival at Amazement Square. Each year brings a fun new theme—this time it’s Olympics-inspired! Enjoy crafts, games, and local vendors before the kids take on their race down Jefferson Street.

Evening
Carbo-Load with a View

Dinner calls for carbs! Try Isabella’s Italian Trattoria for classic pasta favorites or a protein-packed salmon quinoa bowl. It’s a Lynchburg staple for pre-race dining.

Saturday – Race Day!
Morning
The Virginia 10-Miler

The big day starts at E.C. Glass High School, looping through historic neighborhoods, Riverside Park, and the scenic James River overlook. Expect live music, DJs, and neighborhood cheer stations along the route.

Afternoon
Celebrate Your Finish

After crossing the finish line, join fellow runners back at E.C. Glass for post-race refreshments, massages, and live entertainment. Then keep the celebration going nearby at The Cavalier Store or Rivermont Pizza for pizza, wings, and a well-deserved beer.

Sunday – Recovery & Explore
Morning
Sleep In & Refuel

Rest easy at the Bella Vista Hotel & Suites, the official host hotel for the race. Or, discover one of Lynchburg’s charming bed & breakfasts for a cozy morning after.

Late Morning
Brunch & Breathe

Head downtown for brunch at The Water Dog or Market at Main — both local favorites with hearty menus and outdoor seating.
