Lynchburg Symphony Orchestra Presents: Happy Holidays with the LSO

The Lynchburg Symphony Orchestra returns this year for their 2nd annual holiday concert, joined by the LSO Festival Chorus, the Hurt Elementary School Children’s Choir and soprano Adelaid Trombetta to help ring in the holiday cheer! You won’t want to miss out on enjoying all of your musical holiday favorites from hymns and traditional carols, to modern classics and music from Disney’s Frozen.
Arts Fusion at the Maier

On the second Thursday of every month, you can enjoy the art and engaging conversation at the Maier Museum of Art. The Arts Fusion was born from a partnership between the Museum and the Alzheimer’s Association of Central and Western Virginia in 2012, so this event is focused on engaging adults with early stages of Alzheimer’s and related dementias and their caregivers.
Charlottesville Ballet Presents: The Nutcracker

Have a magical night enjoying the classic story of The Nutcracker as performed by the Charlottesville Ballet professional company, coupled with music by the Lynchburg Symphony Orchestra and Cantate Children’s and Youth Choir. The Met Opera Broadcast in HD: The Magic Flute

The Academy is hosting an HD Broadcast viewing of The Magic Flute performed by the Metropolitan Opera. While this viewing starts at 12:55pm, The Academy and Foster Fuels have partnered with Opera on the James to offer a pre-screening talk an hour beforehand to discuss relevant topics related to The Magic Flute. It will be a fun and educational night for all!
