The Woods are Disturbed!
June 6 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
$5.00
Program Location: Buck Hill Trailhead Parking Lot
Unpack a story hundreds of years old as told by the trees along Buck Hill trail for National Trails Day.
The forest has changed over time through human activity and natural forces; how has the forest changed, and will it ever be the same again?
Find out what the woods have to say on this 2-mile hike around Buck Hill. Buck Hill trail was largely built by volunteers, so to honor them and their hard work on National Trails Day we are spotlighting the trail and the woods it leads through.
Pre-registration is required and space is limited. To register, call (540) 254-0795. Prepayment is taken at time of registration by credit card over the phone, and you will be emailed a receipt.
The program fee will be the standard $5 parking fee per vehicle; pre-payment will be for the number of vehicles your group plans to bring.
Buck Hill trail is rated moderate for steady elevation gain; you will be going uphill and downhill over the course of the 2 mile walk. If you have concerns about being able to attend the program, please call (540) 254-0795 to speak with a ranger.
