Downtown Parking Garages
Lynchburg’s five public parking garages are open 24/7 and are free to use in the evenings (after 5 p.m.) and on the weekends. During weekday business hours, you can pay via meter or kiosk at very reasonable rates.

Street Parking
Street parking is available throughout downtown with a mix of metered and time-limited spaces. Meters operate Monday–Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Parking is free on evenings, weekends, and city holidays.

Accessible Parking
All garages and lots have designated ADA-compliant spaces. Downtown sidewalks and crosswalks are designed to be accessible for all visitors.
Event Parking
Attending a festival, show, or market? Event-specific signage and friendly volunteers will help direct you to available parking. The Downtown Lynchburg Association often provides parking maps and updates during large events.

Prefer to leave the car behind? Lynchburg has a growing network of greenways and trails, plus bike racks downtown. You’ll also find scooter share options and accessible sidewalks throughout downtown for easy walking.
