Looking for a place to enjoy some tunes in Lynchburg? Here are some great options throughout the city!
7 Rooftop Bar – 1208 Commerce St. #701
Downtown:
- 3 Roads Brewing Co
3 Roads typically offers live music on Friday and Saturday nights. They also have other weekly events like Sunday karaoke and Wednesday night trivia. Check out their website and social media for updates! Grab a brew named after LYH and don’t forget to join in on some fun activities like bingo, trivia, or darts on certain nights of the week with Blue Ridge Darts.
- Starr Hill
This regional brewery, located on Main Street, has the perfect view of Downtown. In the warmer months, be sure to try their booze slushies. Starr Hill regularly hosts events in their taproom. Check out their website to see their event calendar.
- 7 Rooftop Bar
For a weeknight outing, visit 7 Rooftop Bar for Thursday night live music 6-8 PM. With the help of outdoor heaters, their patio remains open through the winter, allowing patrons to enjoy the bar’s rooftop view over the Bluffwalk year round.
- Fratelli Italian Kitchen & Wine Bar
Looking for a midweek date night idea? Fratelli has Jazz Night every Wednesday from 6-8 p.m., and you can enjoy half priced wine. For an early evening special Tuesday-Saturday, you can order a glass of wine or a beer, and a pizza for $15 until 6 p.m. Check it out here!

- Riverview Vinyl
In addition to selling new and used records and sound equipment, Riverview Vinyl also hosts shows in their shop at 901 Jefferson Street. Be sure to follow their social media to find out about upcoming events! Shows are ticketed, and usually range from $5-$10.

- Madison House of the Arts
This local nonprofit is a creative space whose mission is to uplift our community through art. One of their regular events is Open Jam Recovery, which offers a safe space for those sober or in recovery wanting to play music & jam (ages 18+). Open Jam is a weekly occurrence and is usually held on weekend evenings from 7:30PM-10PM.
- Rose Thursdays
During the spring, summer, and most of fall, Rose Thursdays takes place on Jefferson St. at The Water Dog. Special prices on Rose and live local music are expected every Thursday and hopefully some sunshine, too.
- The Glass House
The Glass House is a trendy gastro lounge combining upscale bar atmosphere with gourmet seasonal culinary offerings in Downtown LYH alongside Riverfront Park.
- White Hart Café

This Mexican restaurant and café is also a great spot to see live music in LYH. Apocalypse Ale Works has Friday Night Live, 7-10 p.m. every Friday, and Saturday Acoustic Sessions, 7-10 p.m. every Saturday. Enjoy live music and craft beer just a short drive out of the city!
