Lynchburg Plunge

Get ready to plunge!
You’re invited to take a plunge into the James River in celebration of winter! In conjunction with the Lynchburg Fire Department’s Swift Water Rescue team, the second annual Lynchburg Plunge at Percival’s Island is your chance to prove you can bear the cold and crawl out with pride. A portion of all proceeds go towards the Lynchburg Parks and Recreation scholarship fund.

To ensure the safety of participants and staff, participants are required to pre-register. All participants will receive a Lynchburg Plunge beanie hat at the event. Participants will be seeded into start waves at registration. Register by 2/1.

All registered participants will receive an email with important information 2 days prior to the event. Information will include when to arrive and a map including check-in and plunge site location.
