Live Shots and Lockdowns: Life of an American Journalist In The New China

Cale Holmes (Class of 2016) began his journey studying Chinese language and culture at Randolph College.
He will discuss his professional and personal experiences living in China under its zero-COVID policy and during a period of historic political changes. Cale speaks to how Randolph’s Chinese language classes inspired him to consider a life in China, and how students interested in a career in communications or public policy can best prepare themselves through learning languages and cultural immersion.
