Free
  • « Early Folk Artists of Monticello
  • Three Roads Brewery: BINGO Night »

We will be welcoming author Melissa Sevigny to visit campus as this year’s Waxter Environmental Forum speaker as the community reads “Brave the Wild River” for the Sweet Briar Shared Book. “Brave the Wild River” tells the true story of botanists Elzada Clover and Lois Jotter who set off down the Colorado River, accompanied by an ambitious expedition leader, a zoologist, and two amateur boatmen, in the summer of 1938.

The keynote address will take place in Mills Chapel at 7:30 p.m. with a Q&A and book signing to follow.
