Kitchen Basics 101: Knife Skills Class @ The Flour District

April 10, 2024 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

$85.00
  • « Peggy Haas Howell Organ Recital
  • Ghost Tour with the Ghostbusters »

Wednesday, April 10 l 6 – 7:30 PM

Know the difference between a fine chop and a mince? How to properly store your knives? How to safely cut an onion? Come learn the answers to these questions and more from culinary instructor Marisa Jones. She’ll teach you how to properly execute 7 basic knife cuts, plus safety, storage, and care! Participants will see how to use their ingredients to make a delicious seasonal Panzanella salad.

Please bring in your own 8″ chef knife to use during class (choose “Basic Ticket”). You will receive a free sharpening before class by our partner, Justin Kelley from Zen Edge. To safely transport your knife, roll in a kitchen towel, leaving room at the top. Fold over the top and secure with a rubber band.

Don’t have an 8″ chef knife? We have you covered – purchase a knife with the class! (choose “Ticket with Knife” when purchasing your ticket).

This class is ideal for all skill levels! Ages 16+
