Junior Ranger Try-outs on Cedar Creek Trail

May 16 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

$6 – $13
  • « Early Folk Artists of Monticello
  • Downtown Lynchburg Walking Ghost Tour »

Today you can throw your ranger hat in the ring and see if you have what it takes to be a junior ranger!

Stop by the visitor center’s Base Camp to test out your junior ranger skills. Get hands-on with real and replica animal skulls, pelts, shells, and more as you learn to identify the animals that live in the park. Try your hand at a craft to make one of those animals, and take home the critter you create!

Get your trail checklist from the ranger in Base Camp to test your field skills. Do leaf rubbings, return bird calls, and sketch (non-venomous) water snakes along the creek. Return your completed checklist to the ranger for a small prize.

All programs are included with park admission. There is no fee to enter the visitor center. The Natural Bridge is $9 for adult admission (13+), $6 for children’s admission (12 and younger)
