Continuing the tradition.
From its humble beginnings in 1935, The Texas Inn (formerly Texas Tavern) has become a Lynchburg legend, providing dining in a unique, casual environment. Stop by for hot dogs, chili, hamburgers, or their signature ‘The Western’.
Founded by Nick Bullington, a Ringling Brothers’ Circus advance man, the Texas Inn has been serving “1,500 people, 15 at a time,” since The Great Depression. Legend has it that Bullington paid a San Antonio, Texas chef $5 for the chili recipe in 1929. We use Bullington’s ORIGINAL recipe for our chili and our delicious golden relish.
