Shoemakers treats guests to big city dining right in the heart of downtown Lynchburg. Exposed brick, wooden timbers and duct work reflect the many personalities of a converted tobacco warehouse. Fine table linens with distinctive place settings add to the unique atmosphere of the beautifully appointed dining room. Shoemakers’ menu features the finest quality American fare including steaks, live Maine lobster and fresh seafood dishes, as well as an exquisite wine selection. The impressive bar and lounge is the perfect place to relax with your favorite cocktail or glass of wine, and the open-air courtyard offers outdoor dining during Spring and Summer. Shoemakers offers four private dining rooms, accommodating from 8 to 40 people, for celebrations or meetings. Dinner is served Monday through Saturday, and reservations may be made by telephone or online.

Excellent food and professional staff. Couldn't believe they ran out of baked potatoes.

You pay for what you get. Best steak in Lynchburg next to The Great Room in Kirkley Hotel. This restaurant should have 5 stars along with the latter and no other can come close to the tranquility of these two. Very professional, beautiful interior, superior menu and food quality, the people act as if it is a profession and not a job. It's the Gold Standard of Restaurants in Lynchburg. You must try it to believe a restaurant like this even exists in this city.

Absolutely wonderful. While in the area on somewhat of a vacation I took a date here, assuming it would be quality dining. I was beyond impressed; the vintage (and totally legitimate) former shoe factory establishment aesthetic was delightfully different, yet tasteful without being overbearing. The food and service were also incredible. I had the crabmeat stuffed trout, which was out-of-this-world. Overall a phenomenal place for a classy dinner, however, I must mention the menu is a bit limited. I would not recommend bringing someone who is not interested in fish or steak here. Although, they have a few solid non-meat options and a select assortment of salads, one would likely miss out on the meals that stomped Shoemakers firmly into the local scene of upscale dining in Lynchburg. I true must visit for a romantic night-out meal.
