The current outdoor park was opened in 2008 on land donated by the city and funded by a $50,000 payment from the city and two Lynchburg Rotary Clubs that raised $118,000 total in collaboration with Amazement Square. The facility is currently a 14,000 square foot complex with a street course and bowl. The park is an outdoor hybrid that was designed by Artifex and built by California Skateparks.
Street Course | 9,000 sq. ft. pad that includes:
- Multiple flat bars
- Bench pyramid with hubba
- 2 quarter pipes
- Loading dock with a kicker ramp
- Concrete platform with ledge
- A concrete bank stairs/ 2 and 4 set
Concrete bowl:
- Shallow 5′ section
- 2 hips
- Deep 8′ section
