Kiwanis Centennial Riverfront Playground

Located within Riverfront Park, the new Riverfront Park Playground brings a vibrant and inclusive play space to downtown LYH. Opened in 2025 through a partnership between the City of Lynchburg and the Kiwanis Club of Lynchburg, the ADA-compliant playground was designed for children ages 5–12 and features modern equipment that encourages climbing, spinning, balancing, imaginative play, and sensory exploration.

The playground includes interactive features like portal swings, climbing structures, spinning elements, bouncing nets, and musical play panels, creating a fun experience for children of all abilities. Located steps from the riverfront and downtown trails, it’s quickly become a favorite outdoor destination for families visiting LYH.
