We spent a lovely weekend at Babcock House. It’s a lovely inn full of charm. The owners were so friendly and helpful. The food was delicious...the chef even makes his own bacon,pickles and potato chips! We have eaten in many fine dining places...the food was definitely top notch. The menu is varied ,and full of wonderful fresh locally sourced ingredients. A modern twist on southern favorites. The inn rooms were beautiful and very clean. The beds were so comfy and the bathrooms were provided with locally made soaps,lotions and shampoo. Love the rosemary mint scent! We were in the Suite...perfect for families. We had a beautiful queen and the kids shared a trundle bed. The inn is in a perfect location. Just minutes from everything...but nice and quiet for relaxing after a long day of sightseeing. I highly recommend this Inn...a lovely place to stay and have delicious meals. Our weekend ended with a rainbow over the National Park...wonderful.

Awesome food and deserts. I can’t say it’s the best food in Appomattox because I haven’t eaten every where in Appomattox but it’s the best food in Appomattox. I had the Babcock burger at the pecan pie and both were amazing. They were packed and the service was great considering. The food came out in a timely fashion. Highly recommended.

Went on Mothers Day for the buffet and had a great time with my family! We sat on the patio and it was just perfect. The food was delicious...along with the cocktails! After dinner we took beautiful pictures on the property. We had the perfect dinner, not a single complaint and we can't wait to come back!

Wow. Just an amazing experience. To be honest, wasn't sure what to expect when pulling up but I am sure my girlfriend and I stayed for dinner. Prices were more than reasonable and the quality was off the charts! I am a restaurant manager myself so I spend a lot of time eating restaurant food. This is, by far, some of the best in the area. Fresh ingredients, locally sourced with expert preparation and execution. A place like this should be packed but I was happy to have the patio to ourselves for most of the evening. Truly a perfect date night. Can't wait to go back again.
