TEXAS INN HOSTS CHILI EATING COMPETITION FOR NATIONAL CHILI DAY ON FEB. 24

On Thursday, Feb. 24, the legendary Lynchburg eatery is hosting a chili eating competition —The Great Bowls of Fire Challenge — at the downtown location in Lynchburg, Virginia. Five brave contestants will face off and attempt to each eat 72-ounces of the T Room’s world-famous chili — in under one hour. What will these brave contestants win if they’re able to scarf down 4.5 pounds of chili? The lucky few will receive a toilet bowl-shaped trophy, a roll of TUMS, a T-shirt, a can of Febreze, and, of course, unlimited bragging rights.

Whether you plan to participate, or just spectate, make sure celebrate National Chili Day to the fullest by trying a bowl of the Texas Inn’s tummy-warming chili. The Great Bowls of Fire Challenge will take place at Texas Inn’s Downtown location from 7-9 p.m. Ready to loosen your belt and participate?
