Julia B. Waxter Environmental Forum – Earth Week

Sweet Briar College presents our 2025 Waxter Forum speaker Dr. Kelly Alexander.
Dr. Kelly Alexander will be speaking about her 2024 book Truffles and Trash based on her six years of research on food waste recovery efforts in Belgium. A James Beard Award-winning writer and former editor of Saveur and Food & Wine magazines, Dr. Alexander’s work has appeared in The New York Times, Newsweek and O: The Oprah Magazine. She is co-author of The New York Times best-selling barbecue cookbook Smokin’ with Myron Mixon.
This event is free, open to the public, and will take place in Mills Chapel on the Sweet Briar College campus
