Donut Day at Old City Cemetery Museums & Arboretum!

Did you know that Donut Day was established by the Salvation Army in 1938 to honor the ‘donut lassies,’ who made history when they risked their lives on the front lines by delivering donuts and other sweet treats to soldiers overseas? They brought a comforting taste from home and a reminder of what they were fighting for. Come enjoy a free donut in our historic train station, and learn more about their amazing and little-known contribution to the war effort, from WWI through Vietnam! Free & Open to ALL!
