Cosby Woods, one of Lynchburg’s most inspiring greenspaces, is home to Camp Kum Ba Yah Nature Center, the Church of the Covenant, and the Lodge of the Fishermen/Common Grounds Café. Since 1950, these organizations have upheld a longstanding commitment to the ideals of equality and inclusion, a legacy established by founder Reverend Bev Cosby. Join us on this tour to hear stories from crucial moments in Lynchburg’s civil rights movement, and learn about ongoing initiatives to support and provide opportunities for all in Lynchburg’s communities.
