CNC V-Carving

This class 2 night class on the CNC router focuses on the workflow for routing a 2D design programmed in F-Engrave. Students will make a monogram inlayed coaster from contrasting wood species. Class will start with graphics creation in Inkscape, then toolpath programming in F-engrave and use of the CNC router to cut the coaster and the inlay piece to create an inlayed coaster. Each student will go through the steps of setting up the tooling and workpiece, loading the program and cutting the parts on the CNC router. Some basic graphic design experience, particularly in Inkscape, is recommended.

Class meets Thursday and Friday, June 20th and 21st, from 6-8:30pm
