Clay Festival 2024

The Academy Center of the Arts proudly presents the Academy Clay Festival on Saturday, October 12, 2024. Potters, sculptors, wheel throwers, and hand builders from all across the Piedmont Region and Eastern Shore will gather in Central Virginia along the James River to sell and showcase their work for this one-day show. Participating vendors will also be given the opportunity to showcase their talent through demonstration and/or lecture.

All types of vendors are welcome! Applications are due by August 5. Clay artists are eligible to submit pieces to the juried competition, withs cash prizes for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place, and best in show.

The Academy Center of the Arts’ Clay Festival is sponsored by Framatome, Scott Insurance, The Mike Show, Virginia Commission for the Arts, and National Endowment for the Arts.
