Charlottesville Ballet’s “The Nutcracker”

Experience the magic of The Nutcracker, presented by Blue Ridge Bank, as the Academy Center of the Arts’ Resident Dance Company, Charlottesville Ballet, takes the stage on December 19 & 20! This 90-minute holiday classic brings together professional dancers and local performers as Clara and the Nutcracker lead audiences on a whimsical journey through swirling snowflakes, dancing treats, and the sparkling Land of Sweets.

These special performances feature live orchestral accompaniment* conducted by Benjamin Rous with musicians from the Charlottesville Symphony and Cantate Children’s & Youth Choir, creating a rich and unforgettable musical experience.

After select performances, children ages 3–10 are invited to join “Class with Clara,” an enchanting onstage experience featuring dancing, visits with beloved Nutcracker characters, and a special keepsake to take home.

✝NOTE: The December 20 at 5:00PM performance features recorded music; if you would like to attend a Lynchburg performance with live music, please select a performance on December 19 at 3:00PM & 7:00PM or December 20 at 1:00PM.
