Beginner Sewing Series

During this 4-session introductory sewing series, you will learn all the skills needed to be a confident sewist. Students will complete three practice projects, increasing skills and learning new techniques each week. This is an excellent class to go from little-to-no sewing experience to capable, knowledgeable sewing. Topics covered will include:

– basic sewing machine operation (i.e. thread a needle and bobbin, etc.)
– differences in fabric, needles, and threads
– basic machine sewing technique
– seam allowances
– how to sew straight lines, curved lines, and pivots
