Back in 2005, music artist Common release “Be”, a body of work that many consider to this day to be one of the best hip-hop albums released in the 21st century. Throughout this album, Common navigates through the questions of identity, community, love and more.

For many of us, we are not always able to simply “be” ourselves. Between life’s duties and input from some who don’t really know us, it can very quickly become a chore to simply exist in our truths. The Listening invites you to explore those questions with us on August 12th.
