Backyard Beekeeping Beginners Class

Interested in starting your own colonies of bees? This two hour workshop with the two local beekeepers of Mosermade Sawmill & Apiary is perfect for beginners! You will learn all you need to know about honeybees, swarm trapping, basic hive management, pest control, budgeting and more in this class that is tailored to specifically the Lynchburg/Bedford area. The class will take place in our honey house where attendees will get to have hands on learning with equipment and live bees in our observation hive. The goal is for you to leave feeling confident instead of overwhelmed. You will also go home with plenty of resources and materials to refer back to!
