9th Annual Kiwanis Shrimpfest

Kiwanis club of Lynchburg will host it’s 9th annual Shrimpfest fundraiser Saturday July 27, 2024. Held again for a second year on the campus of Randolph College. Bring your family and friends and join us -you won’t be disappointed. Gates open at 4:30, food served at 5:00 the event is held inside and with tents outside, so weather is not a problem.
Tickets – 12 and older $40 in advance (cut off Wed July 24 or until we sell out) or $45 at the gate / Ages 6-11 $15 in advance $20 at gate / Ages 5 and under are free.
ALL-YOU-CAN-EAT North Carolina Peel and Eat Shrimp, boiled. Tasty sides – Cheese grits, kettle chips,corn-on-the-cob, coleslaw, soda, water and a sweet cookie to round it out. Music by a Local DJ, 50/50 raffle – bring cash, Adult beverages for purchase. Bring your lawn chairs, we did some dancing, played cornhole and had a great time last year.
Our Main sponsor once again this year is Connoisseur Travel providing several prizes. Some well deserving students will be awarded their scholarships in a brief ceremony. This fundraiser supports our leadership programs: Terrific Kids, Bulder’s Club, and Key Clubs. Also a portion of the proceeds will be supporting several local non profits Amazement Square, Miriam’s House & IRON Lives. Sponsorship opportunities are available by reaching out to the club, though printing deadline is June 3rd. VIP Tent Tables are available though limited. Special Hospitality is given for VIP’s * Shrimpfest where the shrimp is always the star *
Volunteers are always welcome, you will meet many of our outstanding students who will be serving at the event. Volunteers still need a ticket for this event.
* No Pets Please * * Handicap parking is available though this location is on a hill in the dining hall courtyard, needing several sloped stair levels to reach.
* This is a rain or shine event * * No coolers or outside adult berverages * Tickets can be purchase through our www.kiwanislynchburgva.com website, Facebook page or tickets can be physically picked up at Givens Bookstore on Lakeside Drive in Lynchburg.
