Two award-winning string quartets will join forces to perform Enescu and Mendelssohn octets.
The American/Canadian Callisto Quartet has garnered top prizes in nearly every major international chamber music competition and has been hailed by audiences across the globe. The Quartet currently serves as Fellowship Quartet in Residence at Yale University.
Praised for their “virtuosity, visceral expression, and rare unity of intention” (Boston Globe), the Viano Quartet are one of the most sought-after performing young ensembles today and currently in-residence at the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center Bowers Program from 2024-2027.
