Guided tours are available by appointment, offering a range of themed experiences including Civil War history, African American history, horticulture, Victorian-era medicine, burial customs, and broader Lynchburg history. These tours include both general grounds walks and focused building or topic-specific experiences, with a minimum fee for non-school groups.
Educational field trips are offered for K–12 and college groups, often free of charge, and are designed to be hands-on and aligned with learning standards. Programs explore local history, science, and cultural topics such as pollinators, composting, early leaders of Lynchburg, and more.
Self-guided visits are also available, with downloadable scavenger hunt materials for a more interactive experience.
