It’s no secret that salads are healthy. But, they don’t have to be boring! Crisp features fresh produce and the ability to build your own salad or order from one of their signature recipe salads. They also feature hearty grain bowls and soups, if you are looking for a hot meal. Every item is available to go, making this the perfect grab-and-go lunch spot!

The words “healthy” and “burger” don’t normally go together, but Urbavore’s signature veggie burgers have changed the game. In addition to the signature Diner Burger (you have to try the sauce!), the restaurant also features a Burger of the Week that is sure to delight your taste buds. Some past favorites have included the Leftover Burger, Little Italy and even a Nacho Burger! Everything offered at Urbavore is 100% vegan. Not in the mood for a burger? The menu also has rotating soups, “crabbie” sliders and more. A perk of ordering from Urbavore is that you can order ahead online and pick it up, letting you get back to work faster.

Grassroots Local Market
Grassroots Local Market is more than just a place to grab your groceries (although, we recommend doing that, too). Their deli area features a continually evolving menu of sandwiches, deli salads, hot soups and more. Organic and local ingredients are used when possible, and prices are affordable. When you want a wide variety of healthy options, this is the place to go.

While the Uprooted Food Truck may move around from day to day, their food is worth tracking down to grab lunch. Their food truck is Lynchburg’s only truck to source organic ingredients from local farmers. Because of this, their menu can fluctuate from event to event, but it’s always sure to be delicious. Some favorites include their wide variety of tacos that include flavors such as jerk chicken and Korean beef.

Millie’s Living Cafe
If you find yourself on the other side of town, no need to worry! Millie’s Living Cafe, inside of Health Nut Nutrition in Wyndhurst, has you covered. Millie’s goal is to offer food that is different than the majority of commercial meals available at restaurants and grocery stores. Highlights include organic cold-pressed juices that offer quick infusions of concentrated nutrients, smoothie bowls that pack a lot of fruit into one dish and fresh kombucha on tap. There is also a variety of soups and sandwiches to choose from for a quick bite. If the weather is nice, we also recommend a stroll up and down the streets to visit the other shops in the area.
