DESCRIPTION:What better way to celebrate International Dark Sky Week than “shooting stars” through the Natural Bridge? \nBring a full camera or cell phone and take a night-time photography workshop on Cedar Creek. Once you master the basics everyone will practice taking photos of the stars on either side of the Natural Bridge. \nPre-registration is required and space is limited. To register\, call (540) 254-0795. Prepayment is taken at time of registration by credit card over the phone\, and you will be emailed a receipt. \nThe program fee is $7 for adults (13+)\, $4 for children (12 and younger). Meet at the park visitor center for an introduction then a shuttle ride to Cedar Creek. Due to demand we cannot sell admission at the door. \nParks are for everyone – the trail is flat and accessible\, but please let us know when registering if you have any concerns about attending.

DESCRIPTION:See the stars and explore our night sky with park rangers at this International Dark Sky Park! Pick out constellations\, observe planets and nebulae through a telescope\, and take in the silhouette of the star-lit Blue Ridge Mountains.  \nBe sure to bring something comfortable to sit on and a red light flashlight if you have one. Meet rangers at the Skyline Trail parking lot. A moderate 10-minute hike up a hill will be necessary to attend the program. \nFor those who would have trouble walking up the hill a haywagon with seats for 20 people leaves at the program’s start time to reach the viewing location. Pre-registration and pre-payment by credit card over the phone is required for the wagon ride. To reserve\, please call (540) 254-0795.  \nNo pre-registration is required to attend the event\, only for the wagon. Only one wagon runs per night and space is limited\, so please limit sign-ups to those who need it.  \nFor those without a Virginia State Parks annual pass there will be a $5 parking fee per vehicle\, payable in cash or by QR code.  \nAll programs are weather dependent. DESCRIPTION:Emerging singer-songwriter Malachi Gagnon is an all-American 18 year old\, born and raised in rural New Hampshire. Malachi was brought up on small town values and credits his family and their encouragement for giving him the confidence to believe in himself before he ever played his first chord. “When I was 12\, I sang out loud in front of my family for the first time at an impromptu living room talent show”. The very next day Malachi’s dad took him to the music store and bought him his first guitar. \nOver the last three years\, Malachi has emerged as an up-and-coming original pop-folk singer-songwriter and has released thirteen critically acclaimed singles which have garnered millions of streams and found him on some of the most notable editorial playlists including New Music Friday Nashville and Next From Nashville\, as well as a feature in SPIN. In addition\, Malachi has worked with some of the biggest songwriters and producers in the industry including David Ray Stevens (Jelly Roll\, Shaboozey\, Teddy Swims) and Ryan Hewitt (The Lumineers\, Noah Kahan\, Red Hot Chili Peppers). After relocating to Lynchburg\, VA in 2025\, Malachi has continued to light up stages and stereos and has begun working on his debut EP set for release in 2026.

You’ll top the pizzas\, and Emma will show you how to cook in the mobile pizza oven\, then enjoy some pizza as we wrap up class. \nEach participant will also enjoy a glass of wine or beer (if older than 21) or a fizzy water and take home a fresh pizza dough ball and pizzas made in class (if you don’t eat them all!) \nThis class is ideal for ages 14+
