First Fridays- March 1

Ever wanted to see Lynchburg’s rejuvenated Downtown? Then, First Friday is the perfect event for you to catch a glimpse of the amazing revitalization taking place. Every first Friday of the month, 5 to 8 pm, the James River Arts & Culture District comes alive with gallery exhibitions, live music and debut performances. Opera on the James Prelude Gala- March 23

A perfect date night opportunity—complete with an elegant dinner, signature cocktails and an exclusive performance of La traviata. Proceeds go to benefit Opera on the James. Tickets.
Charlottesville Ballet Presents: Cinderella + Bibbidi Bobbidi Ball- March 16
Where: Academy Center of the Arts
Have a child who can’t stop wearing their princess dress around the house? Then, this event will truly make them feel like royalty. The enchanting tale of Cinderella comes to life in this Charlottesville Ballet production. Back to the Future at the Academy- March 23

Great Scott! Doc, Marty McFly, and the DeLoren are soaring back to 1955 at Academy Center of the Arts, and you’re invited for the adventure. Lynchburg Mini Maker Faire- March 24
Where: Randolph College
Innovative makers, crafters, scientists and creatives all gather each year for the Lynchburg Mini Maker Faire, giving the public a chance to explore and maybe even test drive their newest project. This family-friendly event is free and open to the public, just reserve your spot.
Lying in State Play- March 1 & 2
