Virginia Wine and Garlic Festival

In October, Rebec Winery comes to life with the sights, smells and taste of garlic! There are five stages with constant music and entertainment, including Garlic Cooking, Garlic Crafts and Garlic King and Queen Contests. In this unique event, participants begin an eight day flat boat journey on the James River at Percival’s Island in Lynchburg. Their journey takes them near Richmond in the tradition of the Batteaux which once carried goods and passengers during the 1800s.
