Lynchburg is open for visitors! Governor Northam’s Forward Virginia Phase 2 economic reopening plan has enabled businesses to reopen for indoor gathering, established public area sanitation guidelines and continued social distancing regulations. Lynchburg restaurants are now welcoming guests back with modified seating arrangements, physical distancing both indoors and outdoors and mask-wearing requirements. Local shopping destinations are also open with similar requirements. Phase 3 is expected to further expand these regulations with attractions opening the hosting of small events. But in the meantime, we are happy to see visitors coming back to our beautiful city! Our hotels and inns especially are prepared to receive lodgers and visitors with increased safety measures and precautions in place. Here’s how they’re doing that.
The Craddock Terry Hotel
The Craddock Terry Hotel in Downtown Lynchburg is well-known for its expert blend of historic atmosphere and modern hospitality. They have always been committed to providing the best experience for guests through their shoe-themed amenities, spacious rooms and of course their hypoallergenic, tail-wagging mascot Penny Loafer. Now, they are continuing that commitment by adopting extensive measures to keep lodgers safe. These measures include enhanced, additional and more frequent cleanings and sanitizing of all public areas using CDC-approved cleaning products. They are also sanitizing their room keys, providing disposable cutlery for dining areas and serving individually wrapped breakfast items. No matter when guests are able to enjoy an overnight stay at this historic hotel, they can rest assured the Craddock Terry staff is prepared to receive them.
The Virginian Hotel on Church Street is a classic example of excellence in hospitality and design, with art deco style and elegant decor emphasizing an atmosphere of comfort and sophistication. This hotel wants all visitors to know that they have also stepped up all of their cleaning and sanitizing procedures. They are routinely cleaning public areas and frequently touched areas such as elevator buttons, handrails, door handles, remote controls, light switches, and bathrooms. Additionally, hand sanitizer is available in all public spaces. All guests are also required to wear a mask when in public areas, according to Virginia’s COVID-19 regulations. Their current sanitation standards are only adding to the secure feelings that guests experience when they walk in the doors. The Virginian Hotel is open and ready to welcome guests.
Hilton Garden Inn
The Lynchburg Hilton Garden Inn is following the rest of its franchise in ensuring that guests feel secure and welcome in spite of the COVID-19 crisis. Their CleanStay protocol involves an extensive list of amenities and sanitation services like a system of marking rooms that have or have not been cleaned, sanitary wipes, contactless payments, digital keys, reduced paper amenities, mask requirements, social distancing and much more. Additionally, Hilton is involved in a chain-wide program to provide free rooms to frontline healthcare personnel who need them. Furthermore, they are offering increased flexibility with reservations, allowing penalty-free cancellations in many circumstances and extending membership points so they don’t expire. As one of our top-tier lodging partners, they are doing everything in their power to provide guests with a safe and enjoyable experience.
Courtyard by Marriott
In a similar manner to the Hilton Garden Inn and many of our other lodging partners, Courtyard by Marriott in Lynchburg has adopted many new cleanliness standards. Along with enhanced sanitation of public areas and frequently touched surfaces using hospital-grade disinfectants, they are moving many services to contactless access using their mobile app. They are also using cutting edge modern cleaning technology like UV lighting and electrostatic sprayers to kill potential germs. These cleaning programs enhance their modern environment and make it an even more comfortable and welcoming place to have an overnight stay.
The Kirkley Hotel in Lynchburg has a delightful and stylish modern ambiance that helps guests feel right at home. They are now adding to their services by implementing a host of cleaning and sanitation guidelines for the comfort and safety of their guests.
