BEST pie ever! These women work so hard to make all of these amazing pies. I love going in here, because Mrs. Woodruff herself (who is 101 years old) is always sitting at the table ready to chat with customers and talk about her extensive knowledge of local history. She and her daughters are so kind and welcoming, and if you are very lucky you might get them to sing for you.

Worth going out of the way for. The homemade pies and shakes were fantastic. When we were there, Mrs.Woodruff was there telling us all about the pictures on the wall (she is 102!). The entire visit was delightful.

I had seen the cafe on the PBS special on pies and was so grateful to have happened on the cafe when sent to work in the area after the tornadoes. Great food, cornbread was heavenly and so were the pies. I tried strawberry-rhubarb and blueberry buttermilk - delish! The best part was being able to join Miss Mary at a table and hear some stories about her children and her life.

The hot dogs were good but standard. The pecan pie was out of this world. Very nice ladies working there.

Perfect! The pie and lunch and, oh, everything about it! On a "sisters" weekend (from 2 hours away) we put Woodruff's on our itinerary and it was wonderful! Lovely atmosphere and delicious...we were all more than satisfied with our lunches and all got pie "to go". If you get a chance stop by...worth the trip!
