Jefferson Choral Society is Central Virginia’s largest classical chorus, bringing together singers from across multiple counties to perform major choral works and a wide range of musical styles. Founded in 1990, the group has presented pieces such as Mozart’s Coronation Mass, Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony, and Rutter’s Requiem, along with gospel, Broadway, folk, and international music. Based in Lynchburg, it performs locally and internationally at venues including Carnegie Hall and the National D-Day Memorial, and also supports youth chorale programs and community performances.
