“The Restoration and Rebirth of ‘Sandusky’”
Director Greg Starbuck will speak on the efforts to restore Sandusky to its historical appearance. This 1808 Federal-style home is one of the most significant examples of early architecture in Lynchburg. During the Civil War it served as a headquarters during the 1864 Battle of Lynchburg. Sandusky was purchased from private ownership in 2001 for the purpose of restoring it and opening it to the public.
