History Happy Hour: Jack Jouett – Virginia’s Paul Revere
July 3 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm
$12 – $20
Get into the spirit of Revolution! Join us at 5:30 on July 3rd for this month’s History Happy Hour where Ashleigh Meyer, Executive Director of LHF, will share with you the exciting tale of Jack Jouett’s ride, and Thomas Jefferson’s escape from Monticello as the British closed in for the capture. The Happy Hour will be held at the Miller Claytor House, once a tavern where Jefferson was known to stop in for a drink.
This month’s signature cocktail is the Jack Jouett, named in honor of the hero of the evening and the man who saved the Revolution – but never gets any credit. Virginia Bourbon, blackberry syrup and a splash of ginger beer, served on the rocks. Wine and sweet tea will also be available.
Tickets are $20 and include a drink ticket. For anyone not wishing to enjoy an alcoholic beverage, tickets are $12.
This event is family friendly! Must be 21 to consume alcohol. ID checks will be required.
