Festival of Gardening,

May 6, 2023 @ 9:00 am - 1:00 pm

  • « First Fridays at Riverviews Artspace
  • How to Draw Flowers – Children’s Art Class »

Hill City Master Gardener Association presents the 21st annual Festival of Gardening on Saturday, May 6, 2023, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

With our ever-rising grocery prices, have you considered growing your own food? Imagine green beans from your own garden with their freshness and nutrition intact, luscious heirloom tomatoes bursting with flavor, crisp sliced cucumbers. and bright peppers– all enhanced by basil, dill, parsley and other herbs, plucked fresh from your own garden. The Hill City Master Gardener Association (HCMGA) is busy preparing plants for the Festival of Gardening (FOG) where you’ll find plants you can nurture to provide both food and beauty for your kitchen, home, and yard.

Many categories of plants will be available for sale including popular favorites such as Herbs, Tomatoes, Vegetables, and Native plants. Also available will be Annuals, Container gardens, Trees and Shrubs, Groundcovers, Tropicals, and Houseplants. Master Gardeners grow these selections from seed or from divisions from their own gardens and houseplant collections. Plants are put into disinfected pots, hardened off, and nurtured until time to offer them for sale at FOG.
