Amazement Square, a hands-on children's museum in downtown Lynchburg, is pleased to announce that we were one of a handful of museums nation-wide to be selected to host an exhibition from the Freeman Foundation Asian Culture Exhibition Series, Heart & Seoul: Growing Up in Korea.

Heart & Seoul: Growing Up in Korea is a brand new cultural exhibition in which five modern-day Korean kids will open their hearts and invite you to take an intimate look into their diverse interests, customs and ambitions. This immersive exhibition will transport you to a busy Seoul neighborhood that showcases the vibrant spirit of South Korea. You can "hang out" with Korean kids and "text" them questions about what life is like in Seoul. You can "perform" with K-Pop stars in a K-Pop studio. Check out a stop motion animation studio in the country that produced the Simpsons animations. Learn Taekwondo. Get a taste of Korea "trying" Korean dishes, visit an apartment and more!

Amazement Square is dedicated to sparking a love for learning and ensuring educational opportunities are available to all in the community. Our goal is to create a fun, memorable experience about Korea and Korean culture guided by Korean children through an immersive, interactive exhibition and associated programming for families. Heart & Seoul: Growing Up in Korea is another way that Amazement Square is bringing learning experiences of the highest quality to Central Virginia.

To enhance the cultural opportunity, Amazement Square has partnered with River Ridge Mall. The exhibition will be hosted adjacent to the Regal Cinema from April 8 - early September 2017, and is completely FREE and open to the public.
