This Spring and Summer, make space in your calendar to catch the incredible concerts and shows in Lynchburg. Whether you’re into southern rock or indie folk (or something in between!), you’ll find a concert that suits your taste. Who knows, you might even discover a genre or band you’ve never heard of before!
Warehouse Concert Series
The Academy Center of the Arts hosts the Warehouse Concert Series—a monthly concert series that brings in incredible acts in a personal, intimate setting. In their final concert of the season, Chatham County Line and the Deer Creek Boys will take the stage on April 19th. A band of four, the musicians that make up Chatham County Line collectively offer guitar, harmonica, mandolin, fiddle, banjo, bass, pedal steel, piano and vocals, all to make a sound that is pure, southern and addicting. Chatham County Line makes the perfect pairing with Deer Creek Boys—a local band, from Amherst—who bring an energetic southern sound that offers hard-hitting harmonies.
Catch them at the final Warehouse Concert Series on April 19th at 7:00 p.m. Purchase tickets here.
Riverfront Park Concert Series
Also hosted by the Academy Center of the Arts, the Riverfront Park Concert Series is an outdoor music fest that takes place riverside in downtown Lynchburg. With tickets starting at just $11.00, the Riverfront Park Concert Series is an affordable, fun weekend outing.
The April 21st show will get kicked off by Marty Stuart and His Fabulous Superlatives and The Secret Sisters. Those who love American country music will instantly recognize the name Marty Stuart. An institution in the country music scene, Marty is known for his unique merging of rockabilly, honky tonk and traditional country music. At the Riverfront Park Concert Series, you’ll instantly recognize hits like “The Whiskey Ain’t Workin” and “This One’s Gonna Hurt Me for a Long, Long Time”, both of which were collaborative songs between Marty Stuart and Travis Tritt, another country music veteran.
Together with The Secret Sisters, who once toured with Bob Dylan, the Riverfront Park Concert Series will be kicked off with a bang.
