Patrick Henry’s Red Hill comes to life on November 4 with the Bluegrass, Barbecue & Brew Festival! Every year, this festival is a local favorite, but also attracts visitors from across Virginia and nearby states. It combines history, delicious food, Virginia brews and live bluegrass music for an event that is truly memorable.

Hear the song that started it all, plus many more from him at the Academy Center of the Arts’ Warehouse Concert on November 15. Local favorite Devon Gilfillian will be opening. Thomas Jefferson’s enthusiasm for wine continues in this annual celebration hosted at Poplar Forest. This National Historic Landmark features beautiful grounds and buildings for visitors to tour. During the festival, visitors can savor a variety of wines and ciders, sample local fare, shop works by local artisans and listen to live musical performances.

  • Must be 21 or older; ID must be shown for all tasting and VIP ticket holders at the door. No exceptions.

  • Regular admission: $25 in advance (highly recommended), $30 at the door

  • VIP tickets: $125 per person or $225 per couple

  • Designated driver and non-tasting tickets: $10

  • House tours will be available at a reduced cost
